This class is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of HTML. It covers the basics, including the following:

• Introduction to HTML and HTML tags
• Formatting and headings
• Linking to other documents
• Adding images and sounds to a web page
• Creating and using lists and tables

This class will not cover more advanced HTML features such as forms, frames, style sheets or scripting. It is intended for the beginner with no HTML experience.

Each lesson of this Basic HTML class will have an assignment and the student will actually create a web page as the lessons progress, demonstrating elements that have been covered in each lesson. This gives the student a "hands-on" experience.

This class has the following prerequisites:

• You must be familiar and comfortable enough with your screen reader and a text editor so that you can open, edit and save files.
• You should be familiar enough with your system to locate, move and rename files should the need arise.
• It's recommended that you have an FTP program and know how to use it, or otherwise understand how to publish a web page on your web site. Assistance with this aspect of the class can be provided by the instructor as needed.

This class consists of 4 lessons, delivered to each enrolled student through email.

In addition, students may correspond with the instructor via private email to discuss lessons and get their questions answered.

The fee for the class is $20.00 USD. This covers the cost of all 4 lessons. We accept payment with a credit card either through PayPal or ProPay.
